what to expect

Three Strands Counseling believes that God designed marriage to be a lasting commitment, but in order to make this work, God has to be the primary focus. The framework for our ministry and counseling is based on Ecclesiastes 4:12, stating that a cord of three strands is not easily broken. As we focus and pursue a deeper relationship with God, our ability to pursue a loving relationship with our spouse matures.

Many people feel that they can't talk to others about their difficulties in marriage. What we have found is that no matter who you are, there are challenges in all marriages. Our vision for partnering with you is to not just intercede when things are difficult or challenging but rather to walk alongside you with a lasting relationship that supports you through all changing seasons. This would include: building a strong foundation through pre-marital counseling, hosting events and social support groups that connect you to other likeminded individuals, identifying trained marriage mentors through one of our partnering agencies, and working through more specific needs in individual, family, and couples counseling. Although we are a faith based ministry, we also understand that not everyone shares our beliefs. Three Strands Counseling would still like to partner with you to support you in your relationships. Three Strands will provide a nonjudgmental environment and tailor counseling to fit your specific goals and needs.
